Owned by the Crawshaw family, the estate comprises approximately 200 acres of woodland and 1800 acres of farmland. The farmland is predominantly arable in nature growing wheat, barley and oilseed rape. The livestock enterprise consists of a pedigree herd of Belted Galloway cattle and a suckler herd of Limousin cows and their calves. The cattle can be seen grazing in the park surrounding the house and are popular with visitors to the gardens!
The Belted Galloways are available as pedigree breeding stock, as well as occasionally for their tender and flavoursome beef. The herd is expanding steadily to cover demand for this popular breed. For more information on this well loved breed please go to www.beltedgalloways.co.uk
